Write the visual sequence first
Describe the video in three beats: the opening image, the main action and the ending. For a car edit, that could be a stationary detail, the vehicle moving into frame and a final wide shot. This is a planning example, not a requirement to cut every image on a drum hit.
Decide how long each shot needs to be understood. A close detail may work quickly; a change of direction or a line of dialogue may need more space. Choose music around those needs instead of making every shot equally short.
Audition a small shortlist
Audition NEW RHYTHM, STILL IN THE FIGHT and a few FULL CONTROL tracks. For each candidate, find a passage that suits your footage and save its start and end timestamps with the title.
For each candidate, note a possible starting timestamp and where your main visual action could land. Listen for a change you can actually identify. If the footage includes speech, check whether the music leaves the words understandable. An attractive track and a useful track for this particular scene can be different choices.
Check permission for the exact version
Free listening does not grant permission to reuse every recording. NEW RHYTHM permits ordinary creator videos with credit, including monetisation, under the Rights page terms. FULL CONTROL and STILL IN THE FIGHT require separate agreement. Include the track, excerpt, platform and intended use in your request.
Say whether the video includes a brand, sponsorship or paid advertising, and whether you intend to monetize it. A credit alone does not replace permission. Do not assume that a future creator-friendly release automatically covers an older studio demo with the same title.
Make the agreed use easy to verify
After permission is confirmed, keep the agreement and the exact approved recording together. A useful credit identifies NO LIMITS PHONK, the track title and the agreed official link; add wording such as “used with permission” only when it is true.
Before publication, watch the complete edit once with sound and once without it. Check that the music helps the action, the ending feels intentional and the description follows the agreed terms. Platform copyright checks are separate from your creative review; an attribution line cannot promise that no automated claim will occur.
