Choose before you press play
You can read these guides and browse the catalogue without starting the music. Playback begins when you press Play. Use the title, version and duration to choose one demo first instead of opening several tracks at once.
For a concrete reference, Hit The Switch — V36 R1 lasts about 2 minutes 18 seconds and its current MP3 file is approximately 5.5 MB. Still In The Fight — V39 FULL R1 is about 2 minutes 29 seconds and 6.0 MB. These are file sizes, not a promise about the exact amount your phone will transfer. Pages, artwork, buffering, retries and caching also affect data use.
Pause before choosing the next track
If you want to browse without continuing playback, press Pause before Next. The next selected track stays paused until you press Play. When music is already playing, Next continues playback with another track. The queue can also advance naturally when a track finishes, so pause it when you have heard enough.
Pausing stops playback; it does not guarantee that every pending browser download stops immediately. The player requests restrained preloading, but browsers decide how to buffer media. Muting is different again: silent playback can still use data.
Know what the effects switch changes
Visual effects can be turned off if you prefer a calmer screen. That control changes animation. It does not lower the MP3 bitrate, select a smaller recording or turn the website into an offline player. Lowering the volume also does not make the audio file smaller.
This site currently has no selectable low-bitrate stream or offline-download mode. A track that played once might remain partly cached by your browser, but you should not rely on that for a later journey without a connection.
Make a simple listening plan
Use Wi-Fi when it is available and suitable for you. If your mobile plan is tight, choose a single demo, avoid leaving a repeating queue running and check your device's data-usage display rather than guessing from playback time. On an unstable connection, pause and allow the connection to recover instead of repeatedly reloading the page.
Listening on this website is free and needs no account. Your network provider's data charges can still apply. Free access to playback also does not grant permission to download, reupload or reuse a studio demo; the project's Rights page explains those separate conditions.
